Development Control Plane

A project exploring how to coordinate, govern, and verify AI-assisted software development without turning a public website into an operations console.

The problem

AI coding tools can write, refactor, and review software quickly. Coordinating that work is a different problem. As a project grows, implementation, review, handoffs, and project state start to diverge unless someone holds a durable record of what was asked, what was done, and what was accepted.

Without a governing layer, AI-assisted development becomes a pile of chats, patches, and unverified claims. The engineering need is orchestration, explicit ownership, independent review, and a project state that can be inspected later.

The idea

Development Control Plane is a private engineering system for coordinating AI-assisted software work. The human project owner remains in authority. The control plane is meant to structure requests, keep project state, and separate implementation from independent review.

This page is a public case study of that idea. It is not the operational application. Administrative interfaces, credentials, private repositories, and internal instructions stay private.

How it works

A conceptual workflow. Implementation details may differ, and this diagram does not describe private infrastructure.

Conceptual handoff from human authority to verified project state.
  1. Human authority Project owner decides direction and accepts work.
  2. Development Control Plane Holds requests, constraints, and public-safe project state.
  3. Orchestration Coordinates what should happen next.
  4. Implementation Produces the change.
  5. Independent review Checks the change separately from the implementer.
  6. Verified project state Accepted work becomes the recorded baseline.

Agent roles

Public role descriptions only. Prompts, trigger syntax, and internal handoff bodies are not published.

The intended split is simple: a human sets direction, orchestration sequences work, implementation produces changes, and review inspects those changes independently. Tool names and private agent configurations are not part of this public record.

Engineering principles

Principles the project is exploring. They are not a claim that every capability is complete.

  • Human authority The project owner remains responsible for direction and acceptance.
  • Explicit ownership Work should be attributable to a role, not an anonymous transcript.
  • Structured handoffs Implementation and review should receive a defined request, not an unbounded chat.
  • Independent review Checking work should not be the same role that produced it.
  • Traceable project state Accepted work should leave a durable, inspectable record.
  • Public / private split A public website may present sanitized status. It must not become the control plane.

Public and private

This page is a read-only showcase. It explains the Development Control Plane project and shows sanitized status, milestones, and selected public activity.

The operational control plane, credentials, administrative controls, private project records, agent instructions, and internal infrastructure are not published here and are not reachable from this website.
